Weekly Services


Holy Communion at 8am - a quiet service using the Book of Common Prayer on the 1st Sunday of the month and Common Worship the rest of the time. The service lasts about 40 minutes with a short sermon.There are no hymns in this service.

Matins at 8am - Book of Common Prayer is used on the 3rd Sunday of the month for a traditional Morning Prayer Service.

Family Communion at 10am - an accessible and family friendly service with hymns and songs. The service lasts for about 60 minutes and is followed by refreshments in the Parish Centre. 

Family Praise at 10am - once a month the main Sunday service will be a shorter, simpler service (with no communion). Please check the calendar for details.

Children - are always welcome in church. We have books and toys to keep them entertained.

Celtic Communion - 5pm on the Sundays when we have Family Praise in the morning. A quiet and reflective evening service with a short reflection and simple singing.

Evening Services - these are usually monthly either at St Wilfrid's or at another venue. Please check the calendar for dates and times.







Monday Morning prayer at 9.30am - a quiet service of prayer following the Common Worship Daily Office. Bible reading, reflection and a time of open prayer and silence.

Wednesday Holy Communion at 10am - a service with a short sermon and no hymns lasting about 30 minutes with coffee and cakes afterwards on the last Wednesday of the month.

Midweek Matins - On the 1st Wednesday of the month at 10am we use the Book of Common Prayer for a quiet service of Morning Prayer

Holy Communion followed by lunch - On the 1st Thursday of each month we have a short, simple communion service at 11.30am and then lunch together in the Parish Centre. All welcome.

PreSchool Praise - on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month (apart from August) at 2pm we have a special service for children and their carers. A simple, fun service with songs to sing and instruments to play it lasts about 20 minutes and then it's over the road to the Parish Centre for a drink and a play. All welcome.
