06th June 2008 SWYG
Due to the glorious sunshine an effort was made in a slight wind to have the meeting outside. It was appreciated that members managed to walk or ride to the Parish centre where the activities were arranged around the car park. The car park was isolated from a couple of spaces by being cordoned off. Activities included Table tennis, board games and two quizzes. A enjoyable time was had by all to relax in the sun "on Tarmac".
Please note the next meeting is on the 13th July 08 1630 - 1815 at the Parish centre, when we will try and have a barbecue or two!. Members family and a friend
09th June 2008 Mens Group
What a great idea to quaff a little of nature's wines. The choice was between three reds and three whites. Bob W gave a little tech detail of the wines composition and it is surprising to see what actually goes into a bottle and the mix of different "blends", which give the wine its overall flavour and bouquet. At the end of six samples and a short debate, the meeting ended with the decision on the group's best white and red. A fine and palatable evening. Thank you Bob W.
The next meeting is 8 pm September 8th at the Parish centre
11th June 2008 Mothers Union
The website tries to show the different
activities of the Parish, which in turn helps
to maintain the friendship and spirit of the
Parish. The Mothers Union has not been
represented since the website started,
so here is our contribution
The photos are of the latest meeting held
today in the Parish centre.

The guest speaker was Bob J who used
to live in the Parish.
His subject was on Bees, the honey sort.
Although this visitor did not stay for the
meeting I am sure Bob would have
mentioned the bee virus and the effect
this will have on food cultivation.
Thank you for allowing me to take the pictures
