Lent 2010 at St Wilfrid's

 

Beginning at 7-30pm each Thursday in Lent there will be the Service of Compline with an Address. The service on 25th March, The Annunciation & 1st April, Maundy Thursday will be Holy Communion

 

This year the Ministerial Team have taken as their theme

'Words from the Cross'

 

February 25th "Father, forgive them"

 

March 4th "I am thirsty"

 

March 11th "Today you will be with me in paradise"

 

March 18th "My God, why have you deserted me"

 

March 25th "Woman, this is your son"

 

April 1st "It is accomplished . . . Into your hands I commit my spirit"

    05th March 2010               The Lent Lunch

 The photo shows the Rector pulling out the tickets for the raffle.

Again it was well supported by members of the Parish.

 Well done to Miriam and her team.    Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed their lunch.

         06th March 2010                  Table top sale

The above photos show the Large room and the customers who came and bought items for sale.   The centre tables were for refreshments.  There was a steady stream of  visitors over the period of 4hrs.
