Welcome to the Communications section of our website. As St Wilfrid's moves forwards with exciting new initiatives to sustain links with the local community and to re-establish contact with the people whose circumstances have caused them to live away from Grappenhall, this section will be developed to provide information to those who prefer not to receive material in hardcopy format.
Magazine on the Web?
A thought has been circling the PCC for some time about offering a choice to magazine readers, an online version.
There are no thoughts to dispense with the printed magazine but there may be some of our readers who would quite happily log on to the church website to view the magazine if it was available there, on a pay to view basis.
There will be many of you who do not have access to the website, there may also be many who think they spend enough time in front of a computer screen but potentially, there may also be quite a number who would welcome this type of development.
At present the magazine is prepared with photographs, graphics etc in colour but as it would cost considerably more to print them all in colour, we have it printed in black and white. Clearly, it would be available in colour on the internet.
It is proposed to develop this idea over the next couple of months and possibly offer it on a ‘free to view’ basis later this year for a trial period. This will allow current and potential new readers the opportunity to try it out and invite feedback on their experiences.
